This is a contract role for an Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning Engineer (AI/ML) ready to move fast, think ahead, and outsmart serious threats. You’ll help architect the brain of a new cybersecurity platform designed to detect the undetectable—and make it usable in real time.
Translation: this is your shot to build something with backbone.
What You’ll Actually Do:
▪️ Design and train machine learning models focused on threat detection and behavior analysis
▪️ Integrate AI pipelines into secure, scalable software systems
▪️ Collaborate with DevSecOps and Security Engineers to ensure AI components are compliant and resilient
▪️ Support data labeling, feature selection, and model evaluation
▪️ Document your work for technical teams, funders, and policy reviewers
What You Bring:
▪️ 6–8+ years of AI/ML engineering experience
▪️ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field—or equivalent experience
▪️ Experience with Python, TensorFlow/PyTorch, and model deployment in production environments
▪️ Familiarity with ethical AI, model explainability, and federal data compliance
Extra Credit:
▪️ Bonus if you’ve ever tried to make your model explain itself
▪️ Experience working on AI systems within federal or security-relevant settings
▪️ You’ve contributed to open-source or research-driven ML projects
