You know how to spot misconfigurations before they become vulnerabilities.
This is a contract role for a Cloud and Network Security Engineer who secures systems from the ground up—and the cloud down. You’ll architect and implement security across complex cloud environments and critical networks that must meet high-stakes federal and defense expectations.
Translation: your job is to make the invisible fortress unbreakable.
What You’ll Actually Do:
▪️ Design and enforce security controls across hybrid cloud and network infrastructure
▪️ Monitor, detect, and remediate vulnerabilities in real-time environments
▪️ Configure secure networking (firewalls, VPNs, routing protocols, etc.)
▪️ Ensure compliance with federal standards (NIST 800-171, CMMC, etc.)
▪️ Collaborate with DevSecOps, Security Engineers, and compliance teams on secure deployments
What You Bring:
▪️ 6–8+ years of AI/ML engineering experience
▪️ Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Network Engineering, Computer Science, or related field—or equivalent experience
▪️ Strong command of AWS, Azure, or other cloud platforms plus enterprise network security practices
▪️ Knowledge of zero trust architectures, segmentation, and secure connectivity models
Extra Credit:
▪️ Hands-on experience with SIEM, intrusion detection/prevention, and endpoint security tools
▪️ You’ve locked down cloud environments subject to federal audits
▪️ Bonus if you’ve ever diagrammed a secure network in your sleep
Why You Want This:
Because defense-grade security is your specialty.
Because you want to work on systems that actually matter.
Because when the stakes are high, your work shines even brighter.
